What sessions cover (and what they don't)

One-on-one help is scoped to SDES software and its integration with Bookmap. It is not trading coaching, market analysis, or financial advice.

What's covered

  • BMBridge / BMBridge Lite setup, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • HVN Marker and LVN Marker installation and tuning
  • Bookmap Cloud Notes configuration and workflow
  • CSV data source connections (SierraChart, TradeStation, OptimusFLOW, IB, NinjaTrader)
  • Color templates, feed organization, port conflicts, firewall issues
  • Screen-share debugging of addon or license issues
  • Custom questions about the tools' internals — what a setting does, why something behaves a certain way

What's not covered

  • Trading strategy, trade ideas, or market commentary
  • Advice on what levels to mark or when to enter/exit trades
  • Financial advice of any kind
  • Help with third-party software not integrated with SDES tools
  • Ongoing support or SLA-style retainer (session is one-time)
  • Teaching how to trade futures or use Bookmap generally
  • Guaranteeing a fix — some issues are upstream (Bookmap, data provider, OS)

Four steps from stuck to fixed

Pick a slot

Choose an available time on the scheduling page. Slots are evenings and weekends (US Eastern) so no market hours are interrupted.

Pay upfront

$150/hour, minimum one hour. Paid at booking via the scheduler's payment integration. Non-refundable within 24 hours of the session.

Describe the problem

In the booking form, tell me which tool, what you're trying to do, and what's going wrong. Screenshots help. The more context, the faster we solve it.

Jump on a call

Video + screen-share (Google Meet or Zoom link in the confirmation email). Work through the problem live. You get a follow-up email summarizing what we did.

How to get the most out of your session

A little preparation goes a long way. Completing the checklist below before booking ensures we spend the hour solving your actual problem rather than gathering context.

Before you book

  • Review the relevant PDF — Quick-Start for setup, User Manual for full reference
  • Try ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini with your question — these tools resolve most configuration questions quickly
  • Confirm the issue is reproducible and not a one-time event
  • Verify you're running the latest version of the tool
  • Restart the tool, restart Bookmap, and reboot the machine as a baseline check
  • If the documentation or an AI assistant resolves your question, there's no need to book

Have ready at the start of the call

  • Tool name and exact version (e.g. BMBridge Lite 1.0.1)
  • Windows version (10 or 11, 64-bit)
  • Bookmap version and edition (Digital+, Global, Global+)
  • Data provider if relevant (SierraChart, TradeStation, OptimusFLOW, IB, NinjaTrader)
  • The specific problem: what you expected vs what's actually happening
  • Steps to reproduce — ideally written out or in a short recording
  • Screenshots of any errors plus the Activity Log output
  • List of things you already tried (don't skip — we won't repeat them)
  • Working mic, screen-share permissions enabled, wired internet if possible

When a paid session is the right fit

Sessions are best suited for situations where the documentation and AI assistants haven't resolved your issue, and you'd benefit from working through it directly with the developer over video and screen share.

Sessions are not the right fit for:

  • Questions already covered in the User Manual or Quick-Start guide
  • Trading strategy, market commentary, or financial advice — sessions are for software support only
  • Bug reports — please email those to sean@sdes.dev (free; no booking required)
  • Configuration questions that ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini can answer in seconds

Fill out the form to request a session

$150 per hour, 1-hour minimum, evenings and weekends US Eastern Time. Sean will reply within 24 hours with payment details and a confirmed time slot.

Requests are read personally. By submitting, you're asking for a time slot — no charge until the session is confirmed and scheduled. If the session isn't a fit, Sean will say so and won't bill.

Common questions

Why not free support?

SDES is a one-person operation. Providing free 1-on-1 support for every user isn't sustainable alongside active development of the tools themselves. Instead, each tool ships with full documentation — a Quick-Start guide and a User Manual — that covers setup, configuration, and troubleshooting in detail. Modern AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) handle most configuration questions immediately.

Paid sessions are offered for situations where those resources don't resolve the issue. Bug reports remain welcome by email at sean@sdes.dev at no cost.

Can we go under an hour?

No. The 1-hour minimum covers prep, the call itself, and any follow-up notes. Most software issues take more than 15 minutes once you include context-gathering, screen-share setup, and verification.

What if we fix it in 20 minutes?

You still have the rest of the hour. Use it — ask about other settings, workflow optimizations, or anything else within scope. No refunds for unused time.

What if I need more than an hour?

We can go longer in 30-minute increments ($75 per additional 30 minutes), agreed to at the start of the call, or book a second session.

What counts as "non-trading hours"?

Evenings (after US cash market close) and weekends, US Eastern Time. Exact availability varies week to week and is shown on the scheduling page. If nothing fits, email me and we'll find something.

Can you guarantee a fix?

No. Some issues are upstream — Bookmap behavior, data provider quirks, OS or firewall policies, network conditions. I'll do my best and be transparent when something is outside my control.

Refunds and cancellations?

Cancel more than 24 hours before the session for a full refund. Within 24 hours, no refund — but you can reschedule once at no cost. If I have to cancel, you get a full refund plus the option to rebook.

Can we record the session?

Yes, on your side. If you want me to record and share the video, just ask at the start of the call. The recording stays between us and isn't published anywhere.

What do you need from me before the call?

See the full Prep section above. Short version: tool + version, OS, Bookmap version, exact problem, steps to reproduce, screenshots, things you already tried, working mic and screen-share. The confirmation email includes the Google Meet or Zoom link.
